Frame is for film lovers of all kinds—from creatives and students to curious weekend readers. Whether they are seeking inspiration or a deeper look into how great films are made, these readers want more than just reviews—they want context, stories, and meaning.

Solution

I developed a modern cohesive design for Frame magazine utilizing minimalistic layout, contrasting colors and expressive typography. While imagery takes the center stage and sets the atmosphere of a cinema theatre, elaborate articles narrate stories that can satisfy a sophistecated reader.

Insight

My inspiration came from black and white films, vintage movie posters and typography across different eras.

I explored classic grid systems of Swiss style but also experimented with breaking them—mirroring the tension between structure and expression that defines great cinema.
